The Chamber is excited to announce its NEW 2013 bizConnect Series, connecting businesses with New Mexico’s key leaders. The Chamber will feature six events this spring, in afternoon briefings, at the Chamber offices including: Department of Economic Development Secretary Jon Barela on April 3rd; Department of Public Education Secretary Designate Hanna Skandera on April 10th; Chief of Staff for Governor Martinez, Keith Gardner on April 16th; Department of Homeland Security Secretary Greg Myers on April 23rd; Department of Tourism Secretary Monique Jacobson on May 1st; and Department of Finance and Administration Secretary Tom Clifford on May 8th.
The New Mexico Tourism Department works to put New Mexico on the map of travelers. Showcasing the state’s strengths – natural wonders, culture, and history – the department’s purpose is to promote New Mexico as a tourist attraction. Working with communities, travel agencies and individual businesses, the department highlights attractions throughout the Land of Enchantment in New Mexico Magazine and develops marketing strategies to put New Mexico high on a visitor’s list.
Department of Tourism Secretary Monique Jacobson will brief members on Wednesday, May 1st, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Chamber's Wells Fargo Boardroom.
